FRIENDS OF TREES TREE PLANTING EVENT:
On Saturday, January 23, the annual tree Sunnyside Tree Planting will combine bikes and trees. Bicycle planting crews will haul all of their trees, tool, stakes and people by bicycle to areas already designated for community tree plantings. for more details.If you just want to join the fun and be part of a planting crew then show up by 8:30 and at the Sunnyside Methodist Church (SE 35th & Yamhill). Breakfast goodies and lunch will be provided. You will go out in small groups and plant 9 -12 trees until about 1:00 p.m. Please dress in “yard work” attire (i.e. boots or old shoes, gloves and work clothes) and dress for the weather; the planting will continue rain or shine.
