Fun at the Winter Carnival for all – big kids, little kids, middle kids…
For middle schoolers: There are a couple of opportunities for our middle schoolers to have fun themselves and be helpful (a great combination when it can be acheived.) Do Jump will train any middle schoolers who come in at 2:30 to be juggling “teachers” to younger kids during the carnival. It’s basic instruction that anyone can master and then they can spend the rest of the carnival helping and mastering some new juggling skills of their own. Operating the prize booth has it’s rewards too – lots of playing around with the prizes while helping other kids trade and upgrade their prizes. Just going around the carnival and participating in the juggling and rock wall and other games works too.
For preschool and school age kids: We’ve been asking for prize donations throughout January and an amazing collection of toys large and small are waiting for your child to earn at the games and trade at the prize table. If and when they get all gamed out, the rock wall (that is usually roped off during our gym time)is open and a large area set aside for juggling with DoJump – a very fun place to be.
For toddlers: Last year’s biggest toddler magnet was the play hut in the center of the gym – a cool, calm place to pour corn kernels cup to cup that is amazingly fascinating to our littlest members. Your child may or may not “get” the carnival games but everyone wins a prize for trying and you get to see what your child likes most – both in games and prizes.

To eat: The Multicultural Center’s Pad Thai (Veggie and with Chicken) and egg rolls are served starting at 5pm for as long as they last (hopefully until 7pm). Lots of home baked sweet treats, pink lemonade and popcorn too.
